Our Story
I-Strive Marketplace supports women, youth, and girls in Uganda who make beads, fashion handbags, jewelry, and clothing with African designs.
We provide a platform for women & youth to become financially independent by engaging in entrepreneurial activities that provide a stable income in their households.
These African women have broken down the barriers that prevent them from participating in economic and business opportunities that are available to them.
Through their activities, they have also built networks of like-minded individuals who are ready to transform their societies.
These stories are powerful and illustrative of how they have overcome obstacles and transformed their lives. They show how they have been able to gain the skills and confidence to succeed. Most of our artisans are women and girls who fled their homes in the Democratic Republic of Congo due to the war, sexual violence, and politically charged military conflicts.
